Incorrect assumption - Multilanguage effectively means "European" (sorta), it's English and other romance languages (Spanish/French/etc.) as well as things like Hebrew. Only the firmwares specifically marked Chinese are the ones you want to install to read/write with chinese characters on your device. (and Korean & Japanese, usually).
