OK - the 8520 doesn't have 3G. So it doesn't matter what country or area you are in or carrier you are with.
And if AT&T is getting rid of their EDGE network, that will really upset the vast majority of people who still don't have 3G phones. AT&T and T-Mobile have different 3G networks and cannot share. Their frequencies are different.
