another edge outage? (dfw)

very annoying. i was trying to troubleshoot network settings in a couple of apps i had just downloaded for evaluation and noticed i couldn't get an edge connection no matter what i tried. i have a gsm connection though.
although i've never used my bb to call tmobile, i thought i remembered the code as being '611' so i dialed that. i got a message saying 'dialing at&t wireless'. this startled me so much i hung up. what's up wid that--why does it say at&t wireless?
anyway, anyone else having problems? or perhaps the apps i was troubleshooting have mucked something up?
[edited in later: got through to tmobile who said this was another planned maintenance for network upgrades. the rep didn't have an etr or how long outage window was to be but he did give me 50 'bonus' minutes completely out of the blue!]
