I am using BES 10.2.1 with a BlackBerry z10

I configured BES to fetch s/mime certificates from LDAP. When trying to send an encrypted email to a ldap user the BlackBerry device tells me that no certificate was found.
Wireshark shows me that the query from BES to AD works fine. The correct user is being fetched and the certificate is being returned by the AD.
The blackberry device does find a certificate after installing it manually on the device, which tells me the certificate is valid.

I do not have a OCSP server configured is this mandatory?
