Break free from Desktop Manager!
If I'm correct, you don't need Desktop Manager. As long as you have the update installed on the user's PC, you can upgrade them through the Application loader wizard ("C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader\Loader.exe").
I use this method to upgrade multiple devices at once. I just plug 6 into a USB hub and run the wizard for each device.
