Warning, lame work-around...
I use BIS and would like the same feature. My (again, lame) solution was to create a profile where nothing happens when an email comes in, or if an event fires. One defense of this method, I have actually found that I wanted to reference an email I received while at the desk and was glad that it had piled up on the 'berry.
