I got the error after attempting a second sync of the DB to my Bold:

unable to decrypt device database using the supplied credentials

I could delete the internal DB on the device and sync again, but never a second time without the error above. After trying multiple things in this thread I got it to work by using a key file/picture (I was only using a master password before). Once I did that I was able to sync and I did not get the error. Hope that helps someone.
