I've been (trying to) sync my contacts to iCloud but there have been issues. Reformatting due to custom labels in iCloud, contacts disappearing from my Q10 if I edit them, and a loss of connectivity that requires me to retype my password into settings. I'm done trying to make this work.

So I'm considering setting up the wireless sync with my GMail account. Anybody want to chime in about how it works for them? What I'm looking to avoid is mis-formatted contacts due to syncing. In the past if I had a contact in as:

First name: Jim & Cathy
Last name: Dean

it would get re-formatted by Google as

First name: &Cathy
Last name: Dean Jim

I'd like to avoid that if possible. So how's the connectivity with Google? Do contacts go missing? Does the sync process mess with formatting?
