I am also rather perturbed by his smiling facade. I have not figured out if he is truely nuts or if his actions are all preplanned. I do agree that in any case he needs to be put down.

I suggest public execution being drawn, quartered and sectioned. I would be curious if he would still be smiling when his guts were shown to him.
