Thank you for the reply, I appreciate that.

I am working through your your suggestion. The notification that I am receiving (which I what I want to stop) is an SMS. Each time I send an SMS , the notification process configured in the phone sends me a SMS saying that I just sent a SMS message. So the problem is about SMS messages / notifications as opposed to ring tones or volume.

I will work through what you have sent me.
