Pulling the battery hundreds of times is certainly not necessary IMO and I haven't. Quickpull does the same job for me.

All to their own.

But, IMO, pulling the battery repeatedly is sure to wear the phone at the very least.

And I did say the chance of damage was low. I just dont, personally, see the reason. At the end of the day, the back is on for a reason and constantly opening, removing the battery and replacing is not good for the phone.
