It also has to do with generation I believe. Typically BB users are older and in a fast paced environment. They use probably only 20% of what the BB has to offer and they dont have the time nor the technical aptitude to play around with 3rd party programs, web browsing etc. As the BB's become more mainstream they will become more affordable so younger people have already started getting BB's and immediately look to personalize it and get as many toys on it as they can. That in tandem with EDGE, people are beginning to find new uses for them. Very similar to Dial up to broadband. Only those hardcore young geeks, not excluding myself, were on BBS' and IRC on dialup, older folks or even the public in general didnt find a use for internet. When broadband came out and came down in price alot of the general public all of a sudden found things they could then do on the internet.
