Maybe I wasn't clear in my previous posts, I will try to re-iterage once again:
I have a BB Bold 9000 and a BB Pear 8100. Both phones are currently locked to Rogers. When I move to the Grenada, (an island in the Caribbean), I want to be able to use both of these BB phones with voice and data BB features (BB message, email, internet).
To do this, from what I understand, I need to do the following steps:
- have both phones unlocked
- transfer my Rogers plans to someone else (not necessary for BB to work in Caribbean, but will eliminate my buy-out with Rogers)
- sign up for a voice and data plan in Grenada, Carrib (with a provider that offers BB service)
- register my phones' IMEI and PIN accounts with that new carrier
Am I missing something??
The links I posted above are for a different process, which is to "release" PINs. Let's say I wanted to sell my BB Bold but the person that was buying it didn't what my existing PIN that is attached to the phone, or wanted their own PIN assigned to the phone. They could thus follow that procedure to "release" my PIN from the BB Bold and then have their PIN registered, correct??
