Sounds like you've truly hosed your BlackBerry. The fact that it won't take Fido or Rogers SIM cards points to the device being ruined. I doubt an AT&T SIM card will get different results. That MFi garbage tends to do this all too often.
At this point your best option is probably to sell it for parts. You'd be surprised at how much you can get for the screen, housing, keyboard, etc.
