I have to disagree with you there. The interface is quite revolutionary and will change how we will interact with other touch screen devices in the future.
But to the OP questions, I would say you would have to evaluate the priority of your needs. If you need heavy email or find yourself typing a lot, then the BB is the way to go. If you're looking for an internet connected, multimedia smart phone with light email usage, then its the iphone. Only you can determine what is right for you.
