Okay so it looks as though everything is working okay. My issue with the BRK tools was fixed, namely the EAStats tool. I ended up changing the name format from firstname lastname to lastname, firstname.
That seemed to fix my problem, although I do find it odd that it used to work just fine using the firstname lastname format. Even RIM didn't know what to tell me, just another BESG feature I guess.
