Desktop Manager and Exchange

Calling all blackberry gurus ---
I cannot get Desktop Manager to "connect" to my Exchange server via outlook profiles. I've installed the Desktop Manager software, it worked, then my Exchange server took a small vacation (crash). The exchange is back up, Outlook is talking to Exchange without issue, but the Desktop Manager continues to say "offline".
I have tried to repair the Desktop Manager, also I've uninstalled it as well, and reinstalled it. NO CHANGE. As a last effort, I even created a new profile in Exchange and forced Outlook and Desktop Manager to prompt for new profile -- still no change.
Any suggestions ?
