To install this way you need the JAD file but you also need ALL of the COD files that are necessary for the installation, and the JAD and COD files need to exist in the same directory on your SD card.
You can use something like OTA Downloader (Google for this) and you can pass an OTA URL to it and it will download the JAD and all the necessary COD files to your PC. Copy them to the SD card and install from there. This method really does work very well.
