Default Help setting up email without BES

Please Login to Remove!

Hi folks.

The boss at work has just upgraded to his first BlackBerry (a Curve - 8320 I think) and while we can sync with Outlook to update his contacts, calender, etc, we are having a problem getting him to receive emails from his work PC.

Our IT bod has spoken to our provider (Orange) who said seeing as we only had one handset we wouldn't need to get the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and should still be able to connect to our email. However, as is their want, Orange tech sort of left it there and our IT bod is too busy at the moment to look into it further, so it has been left to me to do a bit of research on the issue.

As a work around IT bod has set the bosses office account to forward all his emails to a BlackBerry account we've set up. Unfortunately this isn't an ideal solution as it means the boss is getting all his emails duplicated (a copy on the office machine and a copy on the phone) and a reply from one isn't being updated on the other. It also means he is getting spam that the office server would normally filter out.

We currently run Windows Server 2003, and any suggestions you fine folks can offer would be most welcome.
