I feel your pain.
OS6 just fits so bad on 9700/9780/9300 phones :'(
9700/9300 owners can revert back to OS5, but on 9780, you're doomed.
It might be possible to combine 9780 firmware with 9700/OS5 apps, but that seems highly hazardous.
Too bad, OS5 would fly with the extra memory from 9780. :-/
