The board members select the CEO so whay would they be worried about there jobs if they support him or not??

if they dont support him, he is gone, however they really need someone to stop the bleeding or they are just going to hemorrage customers until the company goes under or gets bought. they dont have the time or resources to go around picking CEOs and then firing them to just get another.
