I8Ub4, I agree with your assessment. But, this thread really is about me (and some of you), that may look at a phone as an overall tool, and weigh out the features, and, the quality of each feature. My main point was, if the iPhone was a boring OS, like the BB, the barebones features aren't that great.
And sean76, you might want to reassess your gym device of choice ... wouldn't be a lot nicer to be at the gym with a bluetooth stereo headset, such as
this or
this, rather than a wired one? The BB 8300 can do that, the iPhone cannot.
