Actually,

I have version 4.0 of BES and noticed that only if you have 4.0 code on the handheld will the phone number appear.

Also, we have a number of BB with our provider (Rogers) that are DATA ONLY...so the phone number was not setup (either on the SIM or the BB) and so even though we have v4.0 handheld code, their phone numbers dont show up either in the BES.

I agree, we too have the same billing problems when I cant get the SIM or Phone number off the device. Usually the provider's user names are all wrong and since we recycle units, we never are sure who has what unit unless we track it outside the BES...
