This may or may not help. I had a similar problem with Cingular, and it happen to be they left out the IEMI and PIN when they setup my account. I calle and they "Provisioned" my account and while I was on the telephone it began to work. I also had to fill in the APN information, which I learned about here to get jmIRC to function. I have a Blackbery 7280 v4.0.2.56 on Cingular's BIS.
