Default JVM error 545 and 529??

Hi,
I upgraded my 8900 on thursday to the new .900 OS from T-mobile. I bought my phone locked at RadioShack, but am now using it with a Norwegian carrier.

I did a full backup of the phone in addition to an app backup. Installed the new T-Mobile software and reloaded both the backups. Everything was working fine until I tried to update the Navita Sports app (don't think it's related to the app itself) and the phone prompted for a reboot. Did that, but the phone never rebooted. After that I reinstalled the software one more time and the phone ran just fine for some hours until it rebooted and ended up with a white screen saying JVM error 545. Apparently, this means there's something wrong with the Java engine..

I have been trying out all sorts of methods, wiping it with BBSAK, reinstalling the .900 OS, downgrading to a different OS, all sorts of stuff, but the same thing happens everytime, it runs smooth until it just crashes again (tried even without reloading the apps and the regular backup).

Last night I reinstalled the .900 OS and ran the phone without a SIM card until this morning and it was working fine. Now I popped the sim back in again and downloaded the bb messenger (which normally installs by itself) and the facebook app and there it was again, just that this time it said JVM error 529... So can it be the sim card or just the apps I downloaded? I mean, without using the apps the BB is useless!

Can anyone plz help me? The phone was bought in the US in October last year and I believe the warranty is void.
What do you reckon, is it the sim card, the apps or a corrupt backup that is causing the phone to crash?
