The lag was almost too tiny to notice. Since there had been so much trashing of the device that I was really looking for it. If I had not been really looking, I might have missed it. There should be an update later this year and hopefully address. It should not dissuade you from taking the leap. I bought my third berry, 9700, on release day and had no regrets.
