Ok, are you trying to call a speed dial, or just dial a number starting with the number 6?
If you wanting to simple dial a number beginning with 6:
Do this: Press the green dial key to enter the Call Log > press the Menu key > Options > General Options > Dial from Homescreen = Yes.
