when I did an update, I always delete de BB from the BES,
backup these setting : Address Book Options,
Alarm Options, Application Permissions, Attachment Options, Bluetooth Options, Browser Bookmarks, Calendar Options, Device Options MemoPad Options Message List Options, Options, Phone Options, Phone Hotlist Profiles, Profiles Options, Searches, setup wizard Options, Spell Check Options, Tasks Options Theme Settings, Voice Activated Dialing Options.
backup ring tone and picture,
turn off radio,
factory default with JL_Cmder.cmd
delete Vendor.xml
run loader.exe to update
install doc to go
turn on radio and let it install the software from the provider
turn off, remove battery, put battery, turn on
restaure the backup take sooner
recreate the user in BES
and corparate activation from the BlackBerry...
That way I'm sure it's ok and always work
