Cannot receive calls on my Blackberry 9000 / bold

Hi,
I purchased a blackberry bold. I live in Australia and my service provider is Telstra.
There seems to be some problem with the phone. Telstra technical staff have told me the the network is not locked, the phone is also not locked and they issued a new SIM card.
But most of the time, the phone is not able to receive any calls.
I have downloaded and installed the latest software, specific to Telstra and ran it, but I still cannot receive calls.
I now really regret purchasing this mobile.
Kindly advise.
