It's only a preliminary ruling which doesn't really mean much yet. The companies think very differently over this. NTP strongly feels that the patent will hold up. Time will tell whether it is like SCO and Linux -- those who followed that will know what I mean and that like SCO still kept up in courts, NTP would keep up in courts.
