I've been using .190 (upgrade from the pre-installed .167) for a day now. My impressions:

Cuts battery life. Down 20% within 3 hours without doing much on the phone. No heavy internet use, no sending emails, no wifi or bluetooth, just read a few emails.
Photo thumbnails are now gone. After a battery pull, the first few thumbnails will appear, exit out of that folder and return, nothing will show.
Did not fix 3G problem. I am still not able to hold a 3G signal for more than a few minutes no matter where I am. And thats only after a battery pull. Otherwise I'm constantly on EDGE.

Other than that the only thing I see is a memory boost. I don't see any of the other differences mentioned here i.e. browser speeds, battery life, ect. I may try .168 and see if that helps with the 3G. The rest I can live with....well not the battery life!
