There is no way to use BDS/BES with pop3. But if the pop3 protocol is published over internet, you will be able to use bb10 devices

You have to create the activesync profile in the BDS.

There are no permissions requirements as we usually needed in BES.

Hi, BDS only support Active Sync. The activation will not be through a emailn because the BDS will receive the request directly.

there are 2 folders to backup,

c:\program files\ibm\lotus\domino\data\bes
c:\program files\ibm\lotus\domino\data\mail

you will need both to recover your enviroment, if a crash happen.
