Yep, the best way to get the photos over to the BB is by USB. There aren't that many apps that do this and I agree with Ashgotti that Ascendo Photos does the best job.

Unfortunatly you can't transfer Ringtones or Images using the Blackberry Desktop Utility. To do that you'll need a third party application like MiniTones or Ascendo Photos.
