This is definately the 380 Beta. Nothing, absolutely, NOTHING has been fixed or improved in this Official Build/Release.
I have gone back to the 424 Beta and all is much, much better. Just a couple...

Use BBSAK to wipe clean. Then install OS5 latest. Then your 3rd Party Stuff.

I have had none of the problems you mention. 9700 and OS6 beta (358).
Only had the 'no-cursor' in SMS. Easy workaround for it though. The increased OS footprint size has not been an issue either. So...
