That seemed to work.

This worked for me. Someone had rebuilt a server and entered the incorrect name of the server. Changed in the BES Management console but not under ODBC settings.

Cheers people, Vodafone have confirmed (eventually) that a server that could handle the O\S, 100MB for the db plus 2-3 MB disk space per user is sufficient would suffice.

So running with MS specs...

If the 2 BES are on a different environment you can (2 separate email accounts):

Rename the 1st Desktop Service book, register it to the other BES and it will not overwrite it ...

Does anyone have an idea of the hardware specifications of the SQL server for BES v4 should be?

It will be running SQL 2000 SP4 running on Windows 2003.
