User name is basically one who has the blackberry...

When this code is used in the simulator, user has a value as null.

You can get the device phone number by using the...

You can get the device phone number by using the API net.rim.blackberry.api.phone.Phone

The method is getDevicePhoneNumber(true).

But these API's are in signed category.

I have " Build and Run " the program in simulator. When I connect the handheld device and goto "Debug", "Attach to ", "Handheld device". I get a "Error: RIM DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT" on my desktop....

I have found the solution.

Now I have a different problem. I can compile my code. The project is build. when I goto "Debug" and click on "go". The simulator starts up.The .cod files of the project...
