Thank you for the reply. We use the same cable, the pc just does not recognise my phone for some reason, do you think its anything to do with application permissions or something like that?

Ok, I bought a second hand curve 8520 which is running v4.6.1.272 so im trying to update it, i've connected it to my pc (Windows 7) and it will start charging the phone but the pc will not recognise...
