Take thread #2 and substitute T-Mobile for AT&T.

Your carrier (in your profile) says AT&T.

Without a BlackBerry Data Plan, you can't get e-mail.

You must have a BlackBerry Data Plan on your account; please call AT&T to add it.
Note that even if you don't want it, AT&T will detect you are running a BB and will add the BlackBerry Data Plan...
