Like you I prefer to have seperate icons for each email account, but because I am a BES user it helps me to seperate my personal emails from the messages folder which the BES current utilizes.

I had the same issue on my 8700 and it was determined that i did not have the updated SIM chip for my phone. Once I got the new SIM chip (3G) all was resolved.

I had the same problem with cingular, and found out that my sim card was old and not large enough. Cingular changed me to the new 3G sim card and my Text started working.
