That is correct, no data plan. My problem was that it seemed to improperly load the gui... Everything was extremely, er, well it looked like stick figures.

Well, thank you for the help. I tried to update but the new OS just wasn't working right no matter how many times I wiped and re-tried to install. Will wait for a later release and maybe try again.

Good news is it is definitely a T-Mo branded device so thankfully I wouldn't have to attempt that whole procedure.

I think I may try out OS 6 once I can confirm that I can downgrade.

I've verified that I've deleted the vendor.xml from all directories using the proscribed method and I'm having the same issue. I downloaded and tried both versions .464 and .509 and get the same...

I've been in a similar situation as I don't have a data plan. My best workaround (so far) has been to use LogicMail. It's fee and may not have all the features you may want but it gets the job done....

I use LogicMail. It works fine for checking and sending basic messages, however there doesn't appear to be integration with contacts or attachments.

OK, here's my situation... unlocked at&t Bold on T-Mobile US, no Blackberry data plan, installed service books with crackutil as per directions on this forum.
