I hope you have warranty on the phone because nothing can be done with this error. They should be able to exchange it but you would still have to go through troubleshooting with Tmobile and then RIM...

Hard REset
The only way would be to use the Backup/Restore feature on the Desktop software.
Click on advanced features and then delete the database tables for the messages, contacts and etc.
