Sounds like you are getting an electrical short. Check the pins on the USB drive of your computer, on your BB, and that your USB cable it not damaged at either end.

Make sure your USB port on your BB is not damaged (bent). I've seen where one of the pins is bent internally which causes a power surge and makes the BB reboot.

I don't think this is possible at this point, I've tried to figure this out too, and couldn't find anything on google. Hopefully it will be an option in the next upgrade release.

Have your IT Admins delete your State Database from your BES Server and then your account in the BB Manager. Had to do that yesterday to get one of my people upgraded to a Curve. Good Luck!
