I use Win7 and DM 6.0.1 B21 and connect/sync perfectly to Office 2010. Perhaps you could use that DM version, get it here...

Use the BB Menu key and select "Add Pause". You can do this as many times as you want, each inserting a 3 second pause. The X key is used only for dialing an extension so it is effective only once.
