Secure Connect Plus is only needed when you need connections on other ports than 80 and 443 or for streaming etc. It establishes a VPN that bypasses MDS but still uses the Blackberry infrastructure....

My understanding ist that for a PRIV to work via the BES secure tunnel you need either the Secure Workspace (SWS) app on the phone or you need Android for Work.
