why?

my friend because now per the above as of OS 7 BB is more like iPhone

welcome to the world where you are controlled

because if you get an OS 7 BB and want to use it with another SIM...

can the pictured charger or alike (any non OEM) damage the battery?

why/how or why not?

I also have speculations .. but I wish if someone with a degree in electronics - who knows about every...

I understand now that OS7 has BB Protect pre-installed... and is causing this;

I want to be able to put any SIM I want and have it work - like a dozen other blackberries did for me over the...

In short:

I unlocked my BB and I can ONLY use the SIM card I unlocked it with!

Booting with any NEW SIM card OR NO SIM card - and BB presents me with:

for now it basically LOCKS me...
