Is there any way to force OS 6 on the 8900? I'm willing to deal with any problems after that. Because I can always reload my OS 5 :)

I went through the same problem a month back.......u have 2 try app loader as mentioned above to remove any new apps that have caused a bb 2 crash. BUT in ur case( just like mine) it was the user's...

You can surely use wi-fi to access the Internet without a bb data plan. The things u can't do are using some apps like bbm and email too. I guess u did/ should have done this 2 connect...
