I find it's generally quicker to reinstall a new server than to go through the processes of restoring...

Looking at some of our 8800 and 8300 devices...

Looking at some of our 8800 and 8300 devices still running 4.2, I can see their uptime is reported as in excess of 100 days, with some in excess of 150 days.

One thing that caught me out the first time I did an upgrade was that the services will run as the user who started the update process...
