I've used my 7100t in Mexico and all around Italy and Germany and it worked like a charm. I had to make sure I enabled the international calling plan dealio with T-Mobile before I left but it worked.

That's strange.... Have you tried the simple stuff like pulling out the battery and reseating it? I'm not sure what else to suggest unless your wall charger is defective or the power going through...
