May or may not be your problem, but there are two profile settings. One when the device is in the holster and one when it is out of the holster. Make sure you set both of them correctly.

That did not work either. I just called Nextel support and I will have to bring it in to a repair center and try a new battery. Hopefully that will allow the system software to be reloaded.
