I responded to this question a week or so ago...all you need is the Desktop Manager software, no other plug-ins. It's simple, give it a whirl. I've been synchronizing my ACT! 6.0 database for weeks.

If it has the same clip as the standard nylon case, then pass it up. That clip is useless - you need a hammer to get it on your belt, not to mention how much damage it will do to a nice leather belt.
